Patanjali's 1st Sutra: Atha yoganushasanam
When you practice being present, aware of your senses, you experience yoga; the inherent intimacy of your internal and external surroundings. Not only the union of your body, mind and breath, also the rhythms and processes of the natural world.
​
These classes combine Indian and Japanese traditions of yoga with physiology.
The classes change with the seasons. Spring has a force of expansion; the warmth of Summer opens; the force of autumn contracts and winter is a time of quiet hibernation.
​
This yoga encourages tuning into these rhythms by uniting presence of mind with breath and movement.
Practice with kindness and awareness, tune in to your senses, and explore these asanas as a way of exploring yourself.
